We had several days
of Christmas, we started on 12/18 and opened one present every
night. The first day was new pjs, which they wore
the next evening when opening their new underwear. You
would think they were getting the latest new toys by their
expressions, but nope, just a 3 pack of happy bunny and
Tinkerbelle undies. The next few days were a new
dance-dance revolution for kids video game and a leap math
game.

Next round of
Christmas festivities was on 12/23, when we got to go pick up
the Hanna family from the airport. They flew in and we
had an early Christmas eve dinner at Ken and Cris' house in
Folsom. There was wrapping paper flying everywhere with 6
families and 4 kids (of the calendar age kind) in the room. The girls were sure they heard Santa outside,
and when they went to look it seems that Santa had left them
new bikes. Trek and Specialized even, with new helmets
and jackets to match!

We then celebrated
our Christmas morning on 12/24. The girls waited (quite well)
for the adults to get going and have some breakfast.
Amelie kept her mom (aka Cindy) up for most of the night, so
both were a bit groggy, but managed to rip the wrapping paper
like ol pros!. The house was full of laughs and flying
bits of paper as the family Hanna and Grandparents Gerard were
here to join the festivities. The girls loved
their legos and games from the Grandparents Coleman, and dug
on the video games and play laptop from Grandma Marsha.
Santa (aka the Willard family) also dropped a 12 foot
trampoline that has some assembly required. (Check for
pictures after the new year)

Then for a bit of post present bike riding...

As if we hadn't
already had enough to eat, we headed out for our Christmas
dinner (Christmas eve) to the Smith family residence. We
(not Candice) ate our weight in shrimp as per the family
tradition and had a good time visiting with the Smith family,
aunt Barb and Grandpa McMurray, the dancing man.
Oh, and yes, of course opening some more killer presents!
Thanks Brenda Terry and the boys!

It was
time for Kaylee to go celebrate the holidays with her Mom and
family, so we dropped her off and then had one more stop with
Candice's uncle Bryan for a couple more gifts. Michele,
who had passed out in the car on the way home, decided she
could wake up for one more present unwrap.

For the true
Christmas day, we gathered at the family Willard's home for
brunch. We had family o-plenty, and of course... more
presents.. and more presents. We feel totally spoiled,
not only for the physical presents we received, but for the
awesome friends and family that we have to share our holiday
season with. Thank you very much everyone, we love you!
