Seven Years Old - 2008/09

Finding myself in a new school second grade class, with both my sisters being on the same campus with me is the way I start my seventh year.  I have continued on in Taekwondo, ballet, and have also started Hip Hop dance classes on Saturdays.   My days are full, but I am keeping up with school.  The homework is tough at times, but my parents keep me in line.  Mrs Crouch is my new teacher, and so far I just love her.  I have so much fun in class that some days I comment that it seems like I just got to school when its time to go home.    This year, I also find myself with more freedoms to come and go between houses, which is nice.  However, I am also learning I cant switch houses just to avoid cleaning my room... ouch!  They caught on to that one SO fast!     I have started riding my bike without training wheels, I am making myself simple meals, and of course getting myself out of bed, showered and ready for school all on my own.   I am challenging myself with real chapter books, and even have joined the book club at school and have continued on with my love of arts and crafts.    A new haircut, a new school, and a bright future.  I am excited about seven so far.  I will check back in before June 09.

Six Years Old - 2007/08

Well it finally happened, in January 2008 I lost my first tooth.  It was the bottom right tooth first, and now the other bottom and both top front teeth are soon to follow. In June 08, I have lost some more teeth, and have continued on with Taekwondo and have also been in tap and ballet classes. My first ballet recital was right after a white/yellow belt testing in June. I did awesome at both!.  This year I got to see more responsibilities like cleaning my room and bathroom, as well as learning how to shop and fix dinner for the family.   With the responsibilities I also have more freedoms and have been able to play and do more things than ever,  and I am having a great time doing so.   The only thing that I am struggling with a bit due to my very creative and verbal nature is making sure I tell the truth ALL the time, but I am making strides every day. (thanks to all four parents)  As for my 'school skills' well I am head and shoulders above the rest. All I can say is - Look out second grade Rocklin Academy, you aren't going to know what hit you when I get there!

Five Years Old - 2006/07

This year finds me enrolled in Creative Frontiers for a combined Kindergarten / 1st grade class.  I am one of the higher achievers (or so they say) and I am enjoying the new teacher Mrs Efimoff.  I speak with eloquence, and can read short books with ease, what I am really working on now is learning more math and tidying up my handwriting.  This year I got to be featured as cutie of the week for Hallmark, take a look:  Hallmark Picture of the Week   This summer, I mastered swimming skills including underwater and diving and I had I spent any more time in the water I think I may have sprouted gills!.   This year also found me traveling to Seattle WA to visit friends and family and spending some time with my step dads family who came all the way from England to visit.

Four Years Old - 2005/06

I have continued in preschool at Creative Frontiers on my path to Kindergarten next year.   I have almost mastered all the skills offered by my class, and I have an outstanding report card as of October 2005.  I can write my name, as well as my sisters, and my parents.  I can also write small sentences by sounding out the words.  I have mastered my tricycle, and scooter and have moved on to roller-skating.  Currently I am enjoying painting, and crafts as well as some of the new movies like Madagascar and Robots.   I am a great big sister, and watch over both my little sisters with great care and concern, mostly.. Though sometimes I still have a bit of a rough time sharing, of course.  I am still four you know.

Three Years Old-  2004/05

I am a confident speaker, and am at ease communicating my needs to those around me.  I have started preschool, at Creative Frontiers and spend a few hours a week there.  Mom and GG also work there.  I can ride a tricycle, and am practicing on skates.  I am learning my letters and numbers, and am starting to sound out letter sounds and small words.

Two Years Old-  2003/04

I am now the most confident of walkers/runners/tumblers and have a great time with my mobility.  I can reach (and turn) the door knobs, so I am learning to ask for my privacy in my room and in the bathroom. My wardrobe is also now under my discretion, I prefer to be able to pick out dress myself in what I am wearing for the day, or even for my jammies. Of course I still require some help, but not much.  Five and six word sentences are common for me now like "KKs baby is at KKs house" or "Grandmas wallet is in Grandmas purse" or even "Daddy getting KK an Otter-Pop outside"   What can I say?  I am just a verbal overachiever!

In keeping with my over achieving,  I can recognize all the primary colors and count to three, and even recognize a few letters of the alphabet, the letter K is easy.  My favorite toys are the baby dolls and their accessories.  I feed them, and diaper them, ask that they be buckled up when we go in the car.  I have the potty training almost under my belt, a few accidents here and there, and still prefer a diaper when I "foof" but heck, I am only two.  My manners are exemplary, as I almost always say "please", remember "thank you" or "sorry" most of the time and I am the first to say "Bless you" when someone sneezes.   My weight and health are good, besides some pesky allergies,  and I am looking forward to what year 3 will bring.
